Roadside Hot Spring
11-01-21
As much as an all-inclusive resort experience sounds appealing, it wasn't quite in my budget. While researching for this trip, I read about a hot spring located by the side of the road and under a bridge. All the comments I read made it sound legit. Not far from town, it is pretty easy to spot, you will see cars parked along both sides of the road. When you park, you're likely to find someone asking for money, so have cash handy. The person I met had a vest on and said he'd watch my car. How legitimate this is, I don't know, but it's not a lot of money. There is a short path that leads you down to the river. You will see the hot springs as soon as you arrive. Little pools built with stone walls dot the river. I passed under the bridge and found more on the other side, and it was less crowded there. I found a spot I liked and made myself comfortable. Stepping into the water, you'll notice how warm the water is. And as you sit, the current of the river massages your back as you lean against the smooth rocks.
